SIMPLY SAVING LIVES.

Pursuit Alert Technology is a 21st Century patented Warning System that allows law enforcement to send real-time critical messaging to citizens mobile phones when near an emergency response or other dangerous situation.

PursuitAlert Gives Law Enforcement The Power to Protect  Citizens Families Officers

Criminals are going to run - and when they do how are you protected?

PursuitAlert is the new standard for Law Enforcement, offering a state-of-the-art, patented mobile warning system that was  designed to alert motorists and civilians of an immediate danger when there's a critical event such as a high-speed chase, emergency response or active shooter happening nearby.  Officers can also help protect themselves and help citizens comply with the move over law by alerting oncoming motorist when the officer is stopped on the roadside.

Did you know that on average four people are seriously injured or killed daily from high-speed chases gone wrong?  In addition, dozens of first responders are injured or killed in other  highway incidents.  Our goal is to make chases and emergency responses safer for officers and citizens, and  give law enforcement one solution  that  helps keep police officers and their communities better protected when one of these adverse situations occur. Our hope is for PursuitAlert to change this statistic; to help save one life a day in a high-speed pursuit vs the alternative. PursuitAlert gives your agency the power to protect one officer; one citizen; one family; one community; one life; one day at a time, one pursuit at a time, through one technology that really works.

HOW IT WORKS

PursuitAlert in Action

The PursuitAlert notification is activated by the responding patrol unit. The officer will trigger the system through installed hardware and software in the patrol car. The officer can enable and cancel various alerts as needed.

A proprietary contraband marking system is included with PursuitAlert that allows dispatch to retrieve map-based markers of where contraband may have been tossed out the window throughout a pursuit.

Police Officer Engages a Fleeing Vehicle

9:05 PM, Saturday - A police officer attempts to pull over a speeding vehicle on the highway.  Rather than pulling over for the officer, the vehicle increases its speed in an attempt to flee from the officer.

The officer follows agency protocol and engages in a pursuit of the fleeing vehicle, activating the PursuitAlert warning system in his vehicle with the simple flip of a switch.

Civilians Notified

Two miles down the road on the highway Sarah is a civilian driving home from a friend's house.  She has the PursuitAlert mobile app installed on her phone.  Her phone receives an audible and visual push notification "Warning! High-speed pursuit in progress.  Use Caution!"

Now, armed with information that could save her life, she checks her mirrors and, although she doesn't see or hear lights and sirens yet, she decides to pull over to the shoulder of the highway as a precaution.

Pursuit Underway

Sarah is safe in her car on the shoulder of the road.
The fleeing vehicle whizzes by Sarah at over 100 mph, followed by the police cruiser with lights and siren.

All Clear

Once Sarah is outside the alert radius she receives another audible and visual push notification on her mobile phone: "Emergency response out of range,  proceed with caution."

Sarah is safe to continue her drive home.

A task for will hear arguments for trying BY REBECCA HOLLAND If the man whose truck was caught in the path of a Baton Rouge Police Department pursuit in March would have known the chase was nearby, would he have been killed? If Maggie Dunn and Caroline Gill, the two teenagers killed when an Addis police officer ran a red light during a pursuit last New Year’s Eve, had been alerted, would they be alive today? No one can answer these questions, but Pursuit Alert founder Tim Morgan doesn’t want other families to have to think about similar kinds of "what ifs." He created a warning system that allows law enforcement to send real-time alerts to residents through an app. Notifications that a pursuit is within a few miles could prompt people to stop driving or be on the lookout for speeding vehicles. ...

LOS ANGELES - Would you use an app that warned you about a pursuit coming your way? Digital Siren developed an app that will alert drivers of any pursuits in their area… it works similar to an Amber Alert. "A high speech chase is the single event where and officer endangers the public the most, just simply trying to do their job," said retired law enforcement officer Tim Morgan with Digital Siren . Morgan started working on the idea after being part of a high-speed pursuit chase that killed an innocent bystander.

BATON ROUGE - Police chases have killed five people in the capital area this year, including two members of law enforcement. As the Louisiana legislature continues to debate the best ways to handle these chases, states like Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina have some counties using the Digital Siren app. The app is free, and law enforcement would be able to send notifications to drivers' phones, warning them a chase is going on in their area. "We want them to be looking out for that fleeing vehicle, whatever the situation might be," said Tim Morgan, a former high ranking sheriff's deputy in South Carolina and the creator of Digital Siren.
